We were In PARAB

Friends!
You might be knowing that PARAB , the state level tribal festival was organised in Koraput . This is a very nice festival for every one . People from different parts of the globe visit this festival every year . This year , we, the 80 child reporters selected out of 1500 childreporters in the district had come here . We stayed here for three days . We met people starting from a chatwala to the Governor of the state. We talked to them , interviewed them and published two news bulletins based on our observation . This was one of the great experience in our life . We are sharing some photographs of those moments . Wish if you could enjoy seeing them.

The road connecting to our school is not in a good condition . We have decided to make it better with the help of the villagers and teachers . We will make it before the rainy season.

Thank you for saving my friend!

My friend in the school, Ram Boi would have died of snake bite . His parents were not taking him to the hospital . But the clusture coordinator of our area , B.Radha Rani came and took him to the hospital and he was saved . We are thankful to her for the timely help.

Water Problem

In our village, Sundhi Olachi , people drink water from open streams . Many times they fall ill. But they are not able to go to the nearby hospital as they are very poor.

No Anganwadi Building

I was asking Jayram Sisa of Gunel village . The powdered food for the children is given in the village . But there is no house for the Anganwadi Centre to function and hence people are facing problem .

Mania Kinbar's family in our village was staying in a hut . But it was broken and now they are facing a lot of problems. They are very poor.

We went to see the Parab festival at the block head quarter , Laxmipur.We saw Banaraja bird in the exhibition stalls. We were told that it was 4 months old and its weight was 6 kilograms.

Repair the road Please

The road connecting Narayanpatna and Laxmipur is in a very bad condition . In addition to the bad road ,people in the road side village go to toilet on the road side . This makes it more difficult for the vehicles to move. In addition tothe maintainance of the road care should be taken to maintain the sanitation in these villages.
