Lalla Uncle thank you.

child reporters said...
Lala uncle, thank you for the mail and the interest you have shown to know more about us . Very few people wish to know about children like us . But you have asked us . We are fortunate .We are the children from Koraput, Dhenkanal and will be from all the corners of Orissa and even from every part of our lovely country, India. We belong to the ruraland some of us come even from remote villages . Generally we donot have the basic facilities like electricity and a pucca house in many of our houses. Many of us walk kilometers to reach the school. We donot feel sad because we live in huts or even under a broken thatched roof as there are many children are also sleeping on the floor of some one else's house. We donot complain that we donot have good dresses to wear, as we see many of our friends in the village without a complete dress covering their body. Atleast we have some dress to wear. Some of us have sufficient food for our stomach . But we hear from some others that they donot have food many times . The mid-day meal is the most important event for them.We eat rice , ragi, Vegetables and dal in our meal .Our parents do a lot of work. Some of them work in the field as daily labor in someone's field or in our own field. Maximum donot have their own field .Going to the block headquarter is a dream for many of us . But after being a child reporter we have been to many villages in our block, we went to Koraput , our district head quarter many times to meet high level officers and others. Some of us had been to our state capital Bhubaneswar to attend a function of UNICEF, where we described the picture of our village to a good audience. We were being taken to Konark, Puri , Nandankanan during our visits . With the initiative of UNICEF we attended the Children's Science Congress held in Bhubaneswar last year. This was for the first time that child reporters reported the event in the daily bulletin published by the organisers . It was a great moment for us. We also had been to the SishuMela in Bhubaneswar as the child reporters and brought out a report on the day's events along with the views of the participating children. The most important event of Last year was the visit of Anupama Nayak and Sunita Gemel , the two child reporters to Beijing in China to attend the First International Children's Conference .We will give detailed reports on each of the events and experiences gadually , one by one . We are grateful to you that you have seen our blog. Yes, We can read and write English . But not much . We are trying to learn more and more to write directly to you and work on our own on the computer when we come to the block head quarter. We have a lot to say . please continue giving us the hope that you are there with us , wherever you stay , which ever work you do . Are you from England, America, Australia , NewDelhi or Africa ? Please tell the children near you to write to us . We wish if they too could be our friends .
With a lot of regards.
Your loving childreporters.
